TKDA is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer in Duluth, MN to design and manage industrial projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 12 years of relevant experience.
The position involves analyzing various structures, mentoring junior engineers, and managing projects. A hybrid work schedule is offered, allowing flexibility for remote work on certain days.
Our employee‑owned and multi‑disciplined Facilities Engineering team has an opportunity for a Professional Structural Engineer with a passion for designing and managing a variety of commercial, manufacturing, and heavy industrial projects. As a member of our team, you will work alongside Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural engineering professionals who deliver building and facility design for industrial, government, education, and mining market clientele throughout Minnesota and across the country.
In this position you will engage in the analysis and design of a wide range of structure types and sizes with an emphasis on light to heavy industrial facilities. You will further develop your project management, technical leadership, and client engagement abilities by planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of multi‑disciplined projects from conceptual design through construction administration. You will also mentor less experienced structural engineering professionals, support marketing efforts, and help cultivate and establish client relationships by developing proposals and delivering capabilities presentations.
Tuesday through Thursday in office; Monday and Friday remote. Candidates located outside of the Duluth, MN area may be eligible for a modified schedule – a minimum of one day per week in office – based on experience and business needs.
Upon acceptance of a conditional offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to complete a standard pre‑employment background screening, which consists of Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
