Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex is seeking a Line Supervisor - Structural Engineering in Oak Ridge, TN. The role provides leadership to the Division Managed Design team, guiding engineers in technical matters and ensuring safe working conditions and adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Engineering/Physical Science with 5 years of relevant experience and ideally a PE license.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science from an ABET-accredited program and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to Design Engineers.
• Monitor department workload, budget, and schedule; set priorities and expectations.
• Develop high-quality detailed design packages and provide field technical support.
• Perform walkdowns to generate design documents and support craft personnel.
• Lead engineering staff in data analysis, SME reviews, and complex technical assignments.
