Job summary

IMEG Corp in Pensacola, FL is offering a Summer 2027 Structural Engineering Intern program. You’ll assist with analysis, design, and documentation of structural systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Over 10-12 weeks, you’ll participate in project work across markets, gain hands-on exposure, and observe site activities while contributing to budget and client expectations. This in-office internship includes mentorship and clear path to potential full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Profi cient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Preferred: prior internship in building design consulting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems in buildings and other structures while working within the project's monetary budget.
• Assist with design portions of a project related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching and finding resources with regards to projects.
• Assist with good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
