This posting is for Summer 2027 Internship Opportunities IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in Houston, TX.
Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems for buildings and other structures as part of a paid, mentored internship with real project work.
In this role, you'll support project documentation, coordination, and job site observations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to help meet project goals and client expectations within the project's monetary budget.
You'll contribute to work serving commercial and institutional markets while supporting a team with active healthcare, industrial, and mixed‑use projects across Texas and the Gulf Coast, contributing to sustainable design goals including SE2050.
Our Houston structural team is led by healthcare, industrial, and mixed‑use work across Texas and the Gulf Coast, with recurring corporate and life‑science support. Current portfolio shows structural design, assessments, and construction support for hospitals, clinics, office/lab interiors, mixed‑use towers, and heavy industrial facilities. Recent work includes Memorial Hermann Cypress Campus Expansion SD-CA, Healthcare, and Kelsey‑Seybold Beltway 8 Cancer Center, Healthcare.
