Job summary

Stratus Team LLC is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in Raleigh, NC. You will assist engineers with analyses, designs, detailing, and rehabilitation of building systems, gaining hands-on exposure to materials, calculations, modeling tools, and documents under experienced guidance.

You’ll learn how codes, load paths, and structural integration with architects and MEP teams are applied to real projects, supporting multidisciplinary coordination and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Completion of relevant coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
• Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
