CRB is seeking a Structural Engineer Intern in Raleigh, NC to gain hands‑on experience through mentorship on real‑world projects. You will assist with analyzing building materials, contributing to load‑bearing design and computing structural calculations under supervision.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, gain exposure to wind and seismic loading conditions, and learn industry standards while using CAD and engineering software. Passion for learning and team teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
• Interest in Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
• Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders
• Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real‑world engineering applications

Responsibilities

• Basic layout of structural systems in conformance with code requirements and coordination with design disciplines
• Assist with development of conceptual designs under direction of project team lead
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and internal/external team members (vendors, clients, contractors)
