Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in New York, NY to assist in analysis, design, detailing, and rehabilitation of building systems. You will gain hands-on exposure to materials, calculations, modeling tools, construction documents, field conditions, and project delivery under experienced professionals.

You will learn how structural principles, load paths, codes, and standards are applied to real projects and how engineers coordinate with architects, civil, MEP, and geotechnical

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Completion of coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis, or design.
• Basic understanding of structural systems and engineering calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or structural analysis tools and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural calculations, models, drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and related structural systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with design and construction teams.
