Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a hands-on thermofluids/structural engineer to advance the design of大型 compute cooling systems. You will own the structural analysis, containment and rotordynamics work, coordinating with turbomachinery and aerodynamics teams to deliver safe, scalable hardware.

Candidates should demonstrate experience taking designs from calculation to fabricated articles, with test-data correlation and containment validation. A PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

Experience taking a pressure-containing design from calculation to fabricated article
Hands-on rotordynamics and modal analysis with test data correlation
Experience with containment or burst-case design and safety justification
Ability to coordinate with aerodynamics and turbomachinery teams early in projects
Proven track record delivering built structures and load-tested assemblies

Responsibilities

Own the structural analysis of the machine: impeller and rotor stress, casing and pressure containment
Design pressure-containing structures from initial calculation to hardware
Run rotordynamic and modal work with turbomachinery engineers for critical speeds
Design containment cases to keep energetic failures within the machine
Design test cell structures and fixturing for the article, drive, and loop under load
