Job summary

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI infrastructure and seeks engineers who can develop and own thermodynamic cycle models, size large heat exchangers, and validate system performance against data. The role requires a hands-on approach, working on high-velocity projects with aggressive timelines.

You will contribute to piping and relief design, use real-fluid properties, and push the frontier of liquid cooling at scale for data centers and AI workloads.

Qualifications

  • You have built a thermodynamic cycle model from fluid properties and defended its assumptions against challenge.
  • You sized real heat exchangers against published correlations and caught geometry mismatches.
  • You calibrated models against machine data and reported gaps honestly.

Responsibilities

  • Define the machine to be built, owning the cycle model for fluids, pressures, and flows.
  • Design heat exchangers with large surface areas and impact on footprint.
  • Design the fluid system around the machine: piping, valves, headers, relief and isolation.
  • Run trades to decide machine performance: air-side temperature rise and face velocity.
  • Validate cycle predictions on test stands and reconcile with measured COP.
