Fluidstack in Seattle seeks an experienced Test Engineer for the Thermofluids R&D team to own the validation of large-scale compressor test systems and to translate bench measurements into production-ready performance maps.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning a test stand from bare bay, including instrumentation and calibration.
• Led a machine to failure and instrumented it to diagnose root cause.
• Managed an uncertainty budget and communicated measurement value.
• Wrote interlock and abort logic for high-energy systems.
• Experience with data-driven decisions and weekly design-loop integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the test program from first spin to validated performance map.
• Set up test cells: motor test bench, high-pressure gas loop, load bank, and instrumentation.
• Define measurement chain and uncertainty budget for scrutiny.
• Write test plans, interlocks and abort criteria.
• Turn test data into design changes on a weekly cadence.
