Job summary

Blew & Associates, P.A. is seeking a structural professional engineer to analyze, design, and document structural systems for a variety of building and infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, prepare construction documents, and provide technical support through design and construction. Responsibilities include conducting equity level PCAs, leading field teams, mentoring junior staff, and delivering clear client-facing findings with risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience conducting equity level PCAs per ASTM E2018.
• Strong knowledge of building structural systems and deterioration mechanisms.
• Experience leading field teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent written and verbal client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct equity level PCAs per ASTM E2018 on commercial, industrial, and multifamily properties.
• Lead field assessment teams across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty disciplines.
• Train and mentor junior inspectors and report writers on PCA methodology.
• Perform structural evaluations of framing systems, foundations, load paths, and deterioration.
• Review PCA reports for technical accuracy and ASTM compliance.
• Communicate findings and risk assessments to clients in writing and verbally.
• Collaborate with project managers and inspectors to ensure timely deliverables.
• Travel up to 50% for field assessments and client meetings.
