Job summary

EBI Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer specializing in seismic work as part of our due diligence services. This full-time, salaried role involves performing Seismic Risk Assessments and PML analyses, conducting PCA field observations across industrial, commercial, and residential properties, and preparing reports in conformity with ASTM standards and HUD scopes.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, a California PE license (SE preferred), at least 10 years

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with building materials/systems, construction or design, or forensic investigation.
  • California Licensed P.E. is required, S.E. is preferred.
  • Ability to travel and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review PML studies on buildings, including field work, data compilation, calculations, and report preparation.
  • Perform structural/forensic investigations and property condition assessments.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver seismic risk assessments.
  • Travel within the Western United States and work in a predominantly field-oriented environment.
  • Present seismic information to senior internal and external clients.
