Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a professional structural engineer to join our growing team in Itasca, IL. This full-time role focuses on design and analysis of nuclear-related facilities, ensuring code compliance, and delivering safe, cost-effective solutions.

You will perform static and dynamic analyses, interface with multi-discipline teams, and provide guidance to junior staff. A PE license and 5–10 years in nuclear or industrial sectors are preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; professional licensure preferred.
• 5–10 years of structural engineering design experience in nuclear or industrial sectors.
• PE registration and knowledge of North American design codes are assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform as individual contributor with supervision and guidance from seniors.
• Design buildings, foundations, equipment platforms, and miscellaneous structures.
• Perform static and dynamic analyses using listed software tools.
• Prepare design criteria, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Interface with designers and multidisciplinary teams to review drawings.
