Job summary

Primero in Salt Lake City is seeking a Project Engineer to enhance its project execution capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will manage project teams, ensure adherence to engineering standards, and coordinate contractor activities on mining and heavy industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering, 3 to 7 years of related experience, and strong problem-solving skills, working in a fast-paced environment while focusing on safety and project efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within the mineral processing, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities in industrial or mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage Project Teams, sub-contractors, and Vendors.
• Monitor project scope creep and work with Project Manager.
• Control and monitor contractor costs and variations.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or MS Project)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
