Job summary

HDR's Building Engineering Services Group in Saint Louis Park, MN is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a growing team. You will lead designs on healthcare, civic, tech, commercial, and industrial projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, a PE/SE license or eligibility, and 5–8 years of experience. You will design, review, and support construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Master's degree with structural emphasis is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or SE license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and other discipline leads to develop designs.
• Coordinate the structural design team through phases of design development and CD.
• Establish meetings with agencies for code compliance and reviews.
• Perform design development and CD work sessions at project sites with PMs.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Lead construction administration and site visits as needed.
• Write and edit structural specifications and perform calculations.
