Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Team Lead in Saint Louis Park, MN to guide the Building Engineering Services Group’s structural team. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and technical excellence across multiple markets, including healthcare, commercial, and government projects.

You will supervise engineers and designers, coordinate staffing and proposals, and collaborate with architects and discipline leads to advance designs from development through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional registration, license, or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills; ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Structural Area Business Class Lead with management and culture of the overall business class.
• Lead a team of structural engineers, EITs and designers; staff development and mentoring.
• Collaborate with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence across key markets.
• Function as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects and proposals.
• Coordinate work of the structural design team through development and contract document phases.
• Lead site visits, construct administration efforts, and reviews with governing agencies.
