Job summary

HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group in Saint Louis Park, MN seeks a Structural Team Lead to supervise engineers and designers, lead staffing and proposals, and drive technical excellence across multiple markets. You will mentor staff, coordinate with market leaders, and act as design lead or project manager on major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of structural engineers, EITs and designers.
• Lead staffing and project proposals in collaboration with other Team Leads and Area Lead.
• Provide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, mentoring, and staff development.
• Collaborate with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence across key markets.
• Function as design lead or engineering project manager for key projects.
• Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
• Encourage work-sharing and structural practice development within HDR’s nationwide network.
• Assist the Structural Business Class Lead in recruitment and growth of the business class.
• Coordinate design development and contract document phases with project teams.
• Perform site visits and lead construction administration; write and edit specifications.
