McMillen, Inc. in Denver seeks a Structural Staff Engineer (EIT) to perform structural design and development for water resources projects, including dams, bridges, hydro facilities, and related infrastructure. You will collaborate with licensed engineers and deliver design documents.

The role emphasizes hand calculations, CAD, and software, with travel up to 20%. A B.S. in Structural or Civil Eng, FE exam progress toward PE, and 0-5 years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Taken and passed the FE exam and working towards PE licensure is a plus.
• 0-5+ years of structural design experience, water resources experience a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards preferred but not required.
• Experience with structural analysis software, including linear FE modelling.

Responsibilities

• Establish project-specific design criteria using structural codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Review and organize historical project information including drawings and reports.
• Prepare design documentation reports and technical memoranda.
• Perform structural computations and analyses by hand and with software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand drafting or CAD.
• Edit technical specifications and assist with project manuals.
• Provide services during construction including submittal reviews and on-site inspections.
