Job summary

CR Meyer in the United States seeks a Structural Engineer to join the Design/Build team. You will provide structural engineering services for buildings, platforms, foundations, silos, and related structures, coordinating with design and field teams to ensure safety and code compliance.

You will develop designs, perform calculations, and visit sites to document existing facilities, while ensuring QA/QC and safety requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum five years of related structural engineering experience with design of steel and foundation systems for buildings and heavy industrial equipment.
• FE exam passed; EIT certification preferred; PE license with ability to obtain other states as required.
• Experience with structural analysis/design tools; 3D FEA experience preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT; familiarity with ASCE and IBC codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Designers within the Design/Build team to ensure designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Develop conceptual designs, fabrication/installation plans, drawings and approved construction plans.
• Perform structural calculations to ensure integrity and code compliance.
• Conduct site visits to measure existing structures and prepare drawings.
• Coordinate with customers, regulatory agencies and third parties for plan approvals.
• Collaborate with Construction PM and field teams to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Assist with QA/QC requirements and promote safety on the job site.
