Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in White Plains, NY is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to design and construction through code-compliant, economical solutions, collaborating with drafting staff, clients, and project teams.

You will prepare preliminary designs, perform structural calculations, and develop construction-ready drawings while coordinating with architecture, civil, and mechanical engineers. EIT is preferred; Revit and RAM/SAP2000/RISA skills are valued.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• 2–5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction.
• Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and foundation design.
• Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings preferred.
• Knowledge of RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA or other 3D design packages preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• EIT highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with engineering staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Apply ASCE, AISC, ACI codes to produce safe, economical designs.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with project team.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents and construction.
• Create construction-ready drawings coordinating with all disciplines.
• Manage construction administration tasks such as RFI responses and shop drawing reviews.
