Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our Building Systems team on a variety of building projects. You will contribute to design and analysis, collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop practical, code‑compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience in structural engineering or related building design.
• EIT certification is required; pursuing PE licensure is acceptable.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and CAD/Revit software.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building systems and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Assist with development of design concepts and engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Support project managers with schedules, budgets, and deliverable quality.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement and professional development.
