Job summary

Dynotec, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to join the Columbus, Ohio office. The role focuses on design excellence, QR, and ensuring engineering precision across a portfolio of federal, commercial, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.

This onsite/hybrid position reports to the Structural Department Manager and does not require people management. Responsibilities include leading technical design on small to mid-size projects, performing code-compliant reviews, and mentoring the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years of proven building structural design experience.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, structural steel, masonry, and multi-story design.
• Proficiency with Revit and leading structural analysis software (RAM, STAAD Pro, ETABS, RISA-3D).
• PE or SE registration highly desired; Federal and/or Water/Wastewater background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design on small to mid-size projects from concept to completion.
• Participate in QR/quality control of calculations, drawings, and models.
• Review complex systems and ensure compliance with ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and TMS.
• Cross-verify model fidelity and drawings produced in Revit and analysis software.
• Provide mentorship on code interpretation and design procedures.
• Perform site visits to audit structural conditions and approve field reports.
