Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Structural Engineer in Columbus, OH to support design and execution of complex industrial projects. You will perform structural analysis and design for steel structures, concrete foundations, equipment supports, and industrial facilities, ensuring safety and compliance with IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI standards.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in Civil Engineering, 4+ years of experience in industrial environments, and professional engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required with structural coursework.
Professional Engineer registration is highly preferred.
4+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, process, power, or heavy industrial facilities.
Experience with IBC and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
Proficiency with structural analysis software including STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RAM, RISA, etc.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual layouts, engineering studies, and cost estimates.
Perform structural analysis and design for steel structures, concrete foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, buildings, and industrial infrastructure.
Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, sketches, and construction documents.
Review calculations, drawings, and designs.
Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, process, and project management teams.
