Job summary

The Greenridge Group, a prime contractor and consulting firm, seeks a Structural Engineer Associate to support LAUSD’s Facilities Services Division, M&O – A&E Services in Los Angeles.

Role involves designing, reviewing, and cost-estimating for school facilities, with focus on foundations, floors, walls, roofs, and other major components. California DSA knowledge and PE preferred; 3+ years’ experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
• At least 3 years of full-time structural engineering experience.
• Experience with BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Knowledge of DSA and California school building construction code.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review structural design plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports.
• Review structural plans, specifications, design calculations, and construction documents.
• Assist with structural design for foundations, floors, walls, roofs, and other major building components.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates and other reports supporting construction and maintenance projects.
• Review structural work for compliance with applicable standards, constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
• Conduct site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.
• Provide structural recommendations to contractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
• Review soils data and other project information and provide recommendations related to foundation design.
• Support structural engineering consultants and design teams throughout project development and construction.
