Job summary

DLR Planning, LLC in Southern California is seeking a Structural Engineer Associate to support Maintenance & Operations - A&E Services by performing structural engineering work related to design, construction, maintenance, and operation of district facilities. Duties include preparing, analyzing, and reviewing plans, calculations, estimates, and reports, plus site investigations.

Minimum three years of full-time structural engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.
California Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and review structural plans, specifications, calculations, estimates, and reports.
Review structural work for compliance with applicable standards and provide recommendations.
Assist with structural design and layout of foundations, floors, walls, roofs, and framing systems for major buildings.
Review soils testing data and environmental documentation for foundation design.
Prepare feasibility studies, preliminary designs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Conduct site investigations and provide scoping findings and recommendations.
Assist with project status reviews and resolve structural issues.
