Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd's client in Miami seeks an experienced Structural Project Manager to lead mid-rise and high-rise structural projects from concept through construction administration. The role emphasizes strong design and coordination with architects, clients, and contractors.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee schedules and budgets, ensure compliance with Florida Building Code, and help grow the Miami structural practice toward Senior PM and Associate levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6–10+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably on building structures.
• Experience with concrete and steel building systems and coordination with architects/clients.

An established structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join its growing Miami office.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects from concept and design development through construction administration.
• Lead the analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and other structural systems.
• Work on a variety of building projects, including mid-rise and high-rise structures throughout South Florida.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate structural design with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and serve as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase documentation.
• Perform site visits and provide engineering support during construction.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Support proposals, client development, and continued growth of the Miami structural practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Approximately 6-10+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably focused on building structures.
• Strong experience with the design of concrete and steel building systems.
• Experience managing structural projects and coordinating directly with architects and clients.
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code and applicable structural design standards.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software commonly used within the buildings industry.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, with Florida licensure or the ability to obtain it considered a significant advantage.
