Job summary

McNamara • Salvia, Structural Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer to grow in structural design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures. You will work both independently and with the team to apply your knowledge.

Duties include all aspects of design, preparation of drawings and calculations, construction administration, and meetings with clients. Requires 3+ years in structural engineering, EIT, and experience with RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures.
• Passed Engineer-in-Training exam.
• Familiarity with building fundamentals and design codes such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI.
• Experience with RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT.

The position of Project Engineer will offer you the ability to grow and apply your knowledge of structural engineering and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures working both independently and as part of an engineering team.

Duties

This is a diverse role and the duties include:

• All aspects of structural engineering design
• Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, analytical models, reports and correspondence
• Construction Administration including review of shop drawings, submittals, RFIs and field observation
• Attend internal and external meetings with clients and design team members

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in structural engineering with emphasis on building structures
• Passed Engineer-in-Training exam
• Knowledge of building fundamentals and design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE, AISC and ACI
• Experience with structural programs such as RAM Concept, ETABS, ADAPT, SAFE and REVIT
• Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communications
• Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment
