National Award-Winning Studio is actively seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager to join their Florida offices! The Structural Division

The Structural Division is a forward-thinking structural engineering team committed to delivering innovative design solutions and exceptional customer service across the nation. Their expertise spans a wide range of services, including structural planning, building and bridge design, renovations, retrofits, forensic investigations, and more. With extensive experience in sectors such as education, commercial, healthcare, sports and entertainment, hospitality, retail, and government projects, they pride themselves on their ability to meet diverse client needs with integrity and precision.

Key Responsibilities

As the Structural Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage the structural engineering team to ensure project success.

  • Oversee the development of structural designs and provide technical guidance to team members.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project coordination with internal teams and external partners, including architects, MEP consultants, and other disciplines.

  • Manage projects through all phases, from design to construction administration.

  • Review shop drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders, ensuring timely resolutions during construction.

  • Conduct site visits and participate in OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings as needed.

Your Impact
  • Collaborate with clients, owners, and multidisciplinary teams to define project scope and deliverables.

  • Ensure designs meet budgetary constraints and adhere to project schedules.

  • Author structural specifications, perform calculations, and select materials for optimal performance.

  • Provide clear communication through reports, memos, and correspondence to ensure alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Conduct site observations during construction phases to maintain quality standards.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • A Structural Engineering license (S.E.) in your state of residence.

  • At least 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience; 3+ years leading multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.

  • Expertise in state building codes and design standards (e.g., ASCE, AISC, ACI).

  • Proficiency in software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, Bluebeam, etc.

  • Proficiency in design of various structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, wood etc.

  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
