Job summary

Richard Adams Engineers & Consultants (RAE) offers a Structural Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 in Richmond Heights, MO. The role supports the structural team with design, calculations, and collaboration across project teams nationwide, under a mentor for peer reviews and cost-saving design choices.

Applicants should be enrolled in a structural or civil engineering program with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be able to commit to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Internship or Co-op experience preferred but not required.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing preliminary and structural building design for projects across the country.
• Help produce structural calculations for construction documents and permit submittal.
• Coordinate with project team members to find creative structural solutions.
• Receive peer reviews with mentor to improve drawings and optimize design.
