Job summary

Richard Adams Engineers & Consultants (RAE) is offering a Structural Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 at an onsite Richmond Heights, MO location. The intern will assist the structural team with preliminary designs and calculations, and coordinate with designers, PMs, and clients to develop practical solutions.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a structural/civil engineering program with a 3.0+ GPA, available to work 40 hours/week, and have AutoCAD exposure.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Internship or Co-op experience preferred but not required.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing preliminary and structural building design for projects across the country.
• Produce structural calculations for design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate with project teams including engineers, architects, and PMs to develop solutions.
• Work with a mentor to review drawings and optimize designs for cost and schedule.
