Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering
• Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam by first day of employment
• 0–3 years of relevant structural design, drafting, or engineering experience
• Previous internship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving structural or building design preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop structural design documentation, plans, models, and reports
• Create sketches, diagrams, calculations, and models for designs
• Use BIM to build 3D models of building structural systems
• Prepare drawings across project phases: floor plans, framing, sections, and details
• Perform basic structural calculations under guidance of experienced engineers
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural and other disciplines
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
• Assist with site observations and field reports
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal and external teams
• Apply design codes and standards under supervision
• Assist with other design and project support tasks
