Job summary

Arcarithm is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join the Engineering Solutions team at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on maintaining and sustaining USAF test operations, with emphasis on safety, performance, and reliability.

The successful candidate will perform in-depth structural analysis, conduct FEA simulations, and collaborate with design teams to optimize structures while ensuring compliance with DoD requirements. On-site role with strong team interaction and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant engineering field with hands-on structural design/stress analysis.
• Security clearance at DoD Secret level is required and AEDC network access.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of structures to ensure integrity, safety and performance under various loads.
• Model and simulate structural behavior under different conditions using FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
• Recommend materials based on mechanical properties and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with design teams to refine structural designs for safety and performance.
• Determine external loads and analyze resulting stresses and strains on structures.
• Investigate structural failures or anomalies and propose repairs or improvements.
• Create detailed CAD drawings and models of structural components and connections.
• Maintain records of analyses, design changes, and project progress.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to align structural requirements with project goals.
• Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering and materials.
