Job summary

Arcarithm seeks a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join the Engineering Solutions team supporting the AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on maintaining and advancing structural integrity for DoD programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge technology.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical or structural engineering, experience with FEA tools like ANSYS or ABAQUS, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Structural Engineering with 3+ years of structural design and/or stress analysis, or MS with 1+ year experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in depth analysis of structures to ensure integrity, safety, and performance, including stress, strain, deformation, fatigue, and load distribution.
• Model and simulate structural behavior under various conditions and loads using FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
• Recommend suitable materials based on mechanical properties, durability, and cost-effectiveness for project needs.
• Collaborate with design teams to evaluate and refine structural designs for safety and performance.
• Determine external loads and their effects on structures, calculating stresses and strains.
