Job summary

Qualitybuildings seeks a Structural Drafter II to develop construction documents and BIM models for diverse projects. You will create 2D/3D drawings, coordinate with architects and engineers, perform clash detection, and produce shop drawings for fabrication.

Responsibilities include maintaining standards, updating drawings, and supporting proposals with 3D models and quantity takeoffs. Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT and 5+ years of drafting experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a drafter or similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong visualization skills.
• Flexibility to jump from project to project as required.
• Organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings of building structures using CAD software.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals for accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients and engineers.
• Research building codes to ensure compliance.
• Create 2D/3D structural drawings with AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Generate 3D models for quantity takeoffs and proposals.
• Prepare complete contract drawings including foundations and framing.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
• Maintain project documentation and discuss model requirements in meetings.
