Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Structural Designer for our Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) team in Pittsburgh, PA.

You will design state-of-the-art facilities across industrial markets, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects. Develop and maintain structural Revit models, coordinate with architects and engineers, and contribute to project delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience on structural projects with emphasis on industrial/manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret and coordinate drawings across disciplines for industrial facilities.
• Experience supporting industrial facilities, metals facilities, or power facilities.
• Proficient in Revit for modeling and documentation; min 1 year.
• Experience using Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with structural engineer to design buildings, foundations, and steel/concrete elements.
• Develop and maintain structural Revit models and construction documents.
• Review information sources and coordinate design criteria with other disciplines.
• Develop structural material take-offs and provide QA/QC oversight.
• Assist lead engineer/designer as liaison with project manager and client.
• Mentor less experienced designers and help with hour estimates.
