Job summary

Pond & Company seeks a Structural Engineer with 8+ years of structural design experience to join the Professional Design Group. You will mentor junior staff, provide client‑facing expertise, and collaborate with in‑house multidisciplinary teams across diverse projects.

The position involves scope evaluation, project planning, technical reviews, construction administration, and quality control, with opportunities to work on coastal and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant structural design experience in civil, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• SE license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Experience using analytical software to design isolated structures and full buildings (RISA 3D preferred).
• Experience in drawing production using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC and related codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Scope evaluation and project planning for structural design projects.
• Technical review and quality control of design deliverables.
• Construction administration and design‑build support.
• Mentor and develop junior staff within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support multiple markets and diverse project types.

Education

ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree

SE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months
