Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant structural design experience in civil, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• SE license or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• Experience using analytical software to design isolated structures and full buildings (RISA 3D preferred).
• Experience in drawing production using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC and related codes and standards.

About The Position

We are searching for a Structural Engineer to join our Professional Design Group. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of relevant structural design experience and will be responsible for training, mentoring, and developing junior staff while providing expertise to clients and collaborating with in-house multidisciplinary teams. The role will involve scope evaluation, project planning, technical review, construction administration, quality control, and supporting Pond’s construction management group in design‑build efforts. Additional experience in supporting multiple markets will be a plus. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across different industries, contributing to exciting structural design projects and growing professionally in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Experience And Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant structural design experience, preferably related to industries such as civil, industrial, and infrastructure
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university
• Structural Engineering (SE) license or the ability to obtain SE licensure within six months (additional licenses are a plus)
• Experience using analytical software to design isolated structures and full buildings (preferred experience with RISA 3D)
• Experience in drawing production using Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including but not limited to IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC (specific experience with non‑building structures is preferred)
• Familiarity with ACI 350, API 620, 650, and 653 (AWWA D100 also considered)
• Understanding of DOD/Federal design standards and UFCs (preferred)
• Specific experience in the design of deep foundations and/or specification of soil improvements, particularly in coastal environments
