Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role offers mid-level to principal opportunities with growth paths across disciplines, and may be FT, PT, or LTLB. Opportunities exist in Overland Park, KS among other locations.

You will contribute to the analysis, design, and evaluation of critical structures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and regulatory requirements. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

• Lead Design Initiatives: Develop innovative design studies, craft comprehensive project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimates.

• Engage in Field Operations: Travel, site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups.
