Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will analyze, design, and evaluate structural systems for critical facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

The role offers paths from mid-level to principal engineering, with opportunities to lead projects, mentor others, and contribute to innovation. Travel up to 10% may be required, and US citizenship is required for federal contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience in design of structural systems (concrete/steel).
• Experience in power generation, nuclear, heavy industrial, or DOE projects.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
• Travel approximately 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across disciplines with professionals from various engineering fields.
• Lead design initiatives, craft project scopes, and prepare engineering estimates.
• Develop innovative design studies and solve complex technical challenges.
