Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group in the United States. The role offers growth across mid-level, senior, and principal paths, with potential for full-time, part-time, or leave‑the‑land arrangements.

You will design and evaluate critical structures for safety and reliability, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating findings to clients. The position requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree, 3+ years in structural design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work with professionals from various engineering fields to ensure smooth coordination and integration of designs.
• Lead Design Initiatives: Develop innovative design studies, craft project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimates.
• Innovate Solutions: Tackle complex technical challenges with fresh ideas and creative problem-solving strategies.
• Engage in Field Operations: Travel, site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups.
• Inspire Teams: Lead by example, motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals.
