Job summary

Responsibilities include applying ASCE 7 and IBC 2018 load combinations, using Enercalc and RISA 3D for framing, and collaborating with the project team to deliver compliant, constructible designs.

Qualifications

• Design and detail residential and commercial structures per IBC 2018, ACI 318, ASCE 7, NDS 2018 and IRC 2018.
• Review shop drawings for trusses, concrete, steel; assist RFIs for QA of project construction.
• Ensure the design aligns with client specs, soil investigation and code compliance.
• Analyze vertical/horizontal loads and apply load combinations based on ASCE 7 and IBC 2018 for structures.
• Use Enercalc and RISA 3D for complex loading and framing; other proprietary software like Hilti, Simpson, Forte.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural designs for buildings and retention walls.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure code compliance and constructibility.
• Perform load calculations and review drawings for QA and client requirements.
• Support project delivery from concept through construction with accurate documentation.
