Job summary

SNIPEBRIDGE is seeking a Structural Engineer to support new construction, expansions, and equipment-intensive facility projects in the data center and digital infrastructure sector. You will work on building systems, foundations, wind and seismic demands, and field coordination to deliver safe, constructible solutions for heavy infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering with 5+ years of design experience and proficiency in RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, and RISA; Revit

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced structural work.
  • Minimum 5+ years of structural design experience for buildings or industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency with RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA or similar tools; Revit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, foundations, and equipment-support systems.
  • Develop calculations, specifications, design narratives, details, and construction documents.
  • Evaluate gravity, wind, seismic, vibration, and equipment-loading requirements.
  • Coordinate structure with architectural layouts, MEP distribution, rooftop equipment, and sequencing.
  • Support site due diligence, existing-condition assessments, and retrofit or expansion studies.
  • Review shop drawings and RFIs; perform site observations.
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, fabricators, contractors, and equipment vendors.
  • Contribute to quality-control reviews and continuous improvement of design standards.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Structural Engineer will support new construction, expansion, and equipment-intensive facility projects. The work includes building systems, equipment support, foundations, wind and seismic demands, and field coordination, with an emphasis on safe, constructible solutions that accommodate heavy infrastructure and future change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, foundations, and equipment-support systems
  • Develop calculations, specifications, design narratives, details, and construction documents
  • Evaluate gravity, wind, seismic, vibration, and equipment-loading requirements
  • Coordinate structure with architectural layouts, MEP distribution, rooftop equipment, and construction sequencing
  • Support site due diligence, existing-condition assessments, and retrofit or expansion studies
  • Review shop drawings and delegated-design submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site observations
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, fabricators, contractors, and equipment vendors
  • Contribute to quality-control reviews and continuous improvement of design standards
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; master's degree preferred for advanced structural work
  • 5+ years of structural design experience for buildings or industrial facilities
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools such as RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of current IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and applicable material standards
  • Experience with Revit and interdisciplinary BIM coordination preferred
  • EIT required; PE or SE license preferred based on project jurisdiction
  • Strong technical judgment, documentation, and field problem-solving skills
