Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking a structural CAD drafter to assist Sales Representatives by creating samples and drawing designs for promotions. You will prepare samples on the CAD table or by hand, maintain specifications, and ensure projects meet schedules, with possible overtime.

Experience in corrugated packaging and proficiency in Artios CAD are preferred. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in CAD/drafting or related field, with 3-5 years in corrugated and strong skills in Windows and MS

Qualifications

Associates degree or higher in the field of computers, CAD, or drafting. Will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
3-5-years' experience in corrugated preferred
Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar tools.
Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and be able to select the appropriate designs needed and draw designs.
Make samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
Record keeping and filing of specifications.
Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
Make production specifications from prototype.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
