Job summary

Welch Packaging Group Inc. seeks a structural designer to create box samples and support sales promotions. You will discuss projects with Sales Representatives, draft designs, and produce samples on CAD tables or by hand while maintaining accurate specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of corrugated experience and proficiency with Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, and MS Office. Office-based role in Bridgeview, IL with standard hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in CAD/drafting; experience may substitute for education.
• 3-5 years' experience in corrugated preferred.
• Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar tools.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and select appropriate designs.
• Make samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
• Record keeping and filing of specifications.
• Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime.
• Make production specifications from prototype.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
