Job summary

RIMEPRO INC seeks a Concrete Estimator with 3–5+ years of experience to develop accurate estimates for structural concrete scopes from takeoff through bidding and buyout. You will analyze plans and quantities, cost labor, materials, equipment, and coordinate with vendors and project teams on large Bay Area projects.

Ideal candidates will read plans well, understand value engineering, and collaborate with PMs, superintendents, and clients to deliver competitive bids and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating structural concrete.
• Strong blueprint and plan reading skills.
• Experience with concrete quantity takeoffs.
• Understanding of concrete construction means and methods.
• Ability to analyze labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to visualize construction in 2D and 3D.
• Understanding of construction risk and value engineering.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Engineering or related technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, competitive estimates for structural concrete from takeoff through bidding and buyout.
• Prepare detailed estimates for structural concrete scopes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, and related scopes.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Quantify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate project risks and identify cost and execution improvements.
• Develop competitive bids and proposals.
• Manage bid lists and coordinate with vendors and trade partners.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
