Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join our Lexington, KY team. The role focuses on converting architectural concepts into precise structural design for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

You will develop construction documents, 2D/3D details, and BIM models while adhering to BIM standards and CAD guidelines. Collaboration with engineers and PMs is essential to deliver construction-ready plans on time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on structural Revit BIM modeling and CAD experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce construction documents: plans, sections, 2D/3D details and schedules.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and National CAD guidelines.

Location: Lexington, KY
Salary: $60,000-$70,000

The Role

Join a talented engineering team where your CAD expertise directly impacts the built environment. You'll transform architectural vision into precise structural designs for commercial complexes, industrial facilities, institutional buildings, and critical water infrastructure. Working alongside experienced project managers and engineers, you'll create detailed construction documents that guide projects from concept to completion, making sure every plan, section, and 3D model is both structurally sound and construction-ready.

What You'll Bring

Core Skills:

• 2+ years of hands-on structural Revit BIM modeling and CAD experience in a consulting engineering environment
• Expert-level proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive structural construction documents: plans, sections, 2D/3D details, and structural schedules
• Strong working knowledge of current BIM standards and National CAD guidelines
• Microsoft Office fluency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive
• Clear communicator, both written and verbal, who collaborates effectively across disciplines

Key Attributes:

Nice to Have

• BricsCAD or Microstation drafting experience
