Job summary

McNamara Salvia seeks a BIM Modeler to grow knowledge from concept through construction documents for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed structures; working both independently and as part of a team.

You will produce drawings in REVIT, develop design drawings in REVIT and AutoCAD, and coordinate with team members to layout components and structural systems; create foundation and building plans from sketches and concepts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of REVIT experience with relevant education or certification.
• Associate degree or certification from a technical school required.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Ability to work under deadlines and communicate with team and clients.

Job description

The position of BIM Modeler will offer you the ability to grow and apply your knowledge to the development of concept through construction documents, inclusive of structural steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed structures; working both independently and as part of a team.

Duties :

This is a diverse role and the duties include:

• Produce detailed drawings of structural steel and concrete components for buildings and structures using REVIT.
• Develop detailed design drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD software
• Coordinate with and consult with other team members to design, layout, or detail components and structural systems
• Create detailed plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts and sketches
• Modification of models through the course of design changes
• QA/QC correlation between modelling and two-dimensional deliverables

Qualifications :

• 2 or more years with REVIT experience with an Associate’s degree or certification from a technical school
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Architecture, Civil Engineering, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Proficient in Autocad
• Must be able to exercise independent judgment using technical knowledge
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on organization / time management
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Excellent communication skills with team members within office and external client contacts
