Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking a Structural Engineer in Lexington, KY to join a multidisciplinary team delivering infrastructure and building projects. You will work on steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum, and support water/wastewater facilities with structural design.

You will produce 2D/3D construction documents and BIM models, collaborating across disciplines to meet project goals while adhering to codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BSCE with structural emphasis; MSCE preferred.
• Kentucky PE license with 5+ years of consulting experience designing building structures.
• Additional state registrations (existing or via comity) a plus; LEED AP certification a plus
• Design experience in steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum
• Project background in water/wastewater treatment, heavy industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities
• Strong knowledge of material design codes
• Experience producing construction documents (plans, sections, details) in 2D and 3D, including smart structural schedules, specifications, and estimates
• Familiarity with current BIM and National CADD standards
• Experience building structural Revit BIM models that round-trip with structural analysis software is a plus

Location: Lexington, KY
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000

About the Role

Join a full-service engineering, architectural, and geospatial consulting team designing infrastructure and building projects. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary engineers to deliver utility systems, energy-efficient buildings, environmentally responsible site developments, and modern transportation infrastructure — on projects large and small. Beyond core building structural design, you'll also support water resources engineers with structural design for water and wastewater facilities.
