Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Structural CAD/BIM Technician for our Sacramento, CA or Lexington, SC offices. You will produce structural BIM models and construction drawings for projects of all sizes, coordinating with the in‑house team and sub‑consultants.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or higher in engineering (or 4+ years of related experience). Proficiency in Revit, setting up drawing sets, applying design standards, and attending project meetings is required; familiarity with AI

Full‑time position available for Structural CAD/BIM Technician in our Sacramento (CA) or Lexington (SC) office locations.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural BIM models and structural construction drawings for any size project, coordinating with multi-disciplinary in‑house team members and sub‑consultants.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution and at least 2 years of relevant experience; or, if no degree, at least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• Drawing structural systems for building projects using Revit software.
• Setting up engineering drawing sets in Revit software.
• Applying design standards to engineering drawings.
• Drawing, laying out, sizing, coordinating and detailing structural systems.
• Attending project team meetings.
• Experience or familiarity with generative AI‑driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.
• Coordinating with the design team.

Salary Range: $30/HR and above. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skill set, or location.
