Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Drafter - Structural to support large-scale energy projects across North America. You will develop 2D/3D models of structural framing and reinforced concrete, producing designs and drawings in collaboration with engineers and project teams.

Responsibilities include creating construction drawings, applying established standards, and assisting with review of fabrication drawings. A degree in drafting and strong CAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in 2D AutoCAD drafting with a background in civil/structural drawing development and detailing.
• Basic knowledge of ASTM, AISC and ACI standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision and in a small to medium office setting.
• Associates degree in Drafting & Design.
• Experience in utility or commercial building CAD/design for high voltage substation or buildings.
• Experience with Microstation software.
• Experience with 3D and BIM design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Inventor, or REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and maintenance of 2D & 3D models of structural framing and reinforced concrete.
• Produce detailed design drawings including plans, sections, elevations and details.
• Follow project standards and design calculations.
• Develop and update structural CAD drawings for substations, buildings, and foundations.
• Review structural drawings for design intent and compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams and adapt to new software and deliverables.
• Maintain quality and accuracy under supervision.
